The Human of the World Manifesto

Contents

A person before a label

We do not ask anyone to abandon their roots, language, culture, traditions, or identity.

We simply affirm that none of these forms of belonging fully define a human being.

Human dignity does not depend on agreement with us, membership of a community or the ability to live up to an ideal. It belongs to every person.

Human of the World is a humanitarian and cultural community open to people of different beliefs. Participation begins with respect for the person before us.

Freedom begins with attention

Sometimes we answer before we have listened. We defend a position without noticing the anger or hurt behind it. Awareness gives us a moment to see what is happening and choose our response.

Inner freedom includes the freedom to disagree, to say no and to keep our boundaries. Respect for another person does not require silence about harm or injustice.

Responsibility means considering the effects of our actions, recognising our mistakes and putting right what we can. It leaves room to learn.

How we treat one another

Our principles become visible in a conversation, a disagreement or a request for help:

  • No idea is greater than human life.
  • We listen without requiring the other person to become like us.
  • We speak without humiliation, harassment or threats.
  • We respect personal boundaries and private information.
  • We seek dialogue where it is possible and protect people from harm.
  • We offer help freely, without demanding obedience, payment or gratitude.

The Earth we share

Our choices affect lives beyond our own circle. Care extends to the natural world, the resources we use and the people who will live after us.

Caring for the planet is a shared responsibility.

From an idea to the work

The Foundation works in rehabilitation through the arts, supports learning and creativity, and develops mutual help. Caring for nature, the ocean and animals is also part of its purpose.

What the Foundation does

A voluntary choice

Every person remains free in their beliefs and choices.

You can read, ask questions and take part in a conversation without accepting a new identity. Joining the community is a separate, voluntary step.

Participation is free. Your certificate and declaration will be emailed automatically after you confirm your email address.

The certificate is a symbol of participation. It is not an identity or travel document and grants no citizenship, legal status or privileges.
